My first lesson in the speaking course is making an introduction.
The introduction is presenting yourself to other participants in the class and I think is a common activity when you meet with new people or friends.
Miss Cristina, the teacher, teaches us how to introduce ourselves.
- First. Open with a greeting.
- Introduce yourself (name, birthday, address, hobby, school, etc
- and Closing.
Maybe it’s like this one.
And after Miss Cristina finished explaining. We separated into 3 groups and make simple introductions.
It’s very interesting.
Honestly, I forgot the important point. I should have explained, is the reason why I’m taking this course or what target I want after joining the program. But I totally forget.
And if I have a chance to do again the conversation, this is what I will say:
Hi everyone, I'm very happy to see you. I'm Diah. I'm 24 years old. I'm from Bojonegoro, but recently I live in Jogja to continue my study. I student in Physics Department, Gadjah Mada University. I take graduate school in physics, specific area in electronics material. I joined the speaking program in ELTI Jogja because my English is not really good. I want to improve my English skills. By the way, this is my first time taking a course, I'm a little bit nervous to speak English. So, please help and cooperate while studying. Thank you.
It was my story in my first English course, thank you for reading and see you on the next story.
Note:
Sorry for my bad writing. Apparently writing in English is difficult š
